Practical AI Training for MSMEs Across Southeast Asia

A hands-on AI training series for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from across Southeast Asia.

Through two live online workshops and an in-person workshop in the Philippines, participants are learning how to use generative AI to work more efficiently, create better business content, and strengthen their online presence.

Camp Tech is delivering this AI training series as part of the ASEAN-APEC Forum on Advancing MSME Development through Policy Dialogue and Knowledge Exchange, hosted by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada under the APEC-Canada Growing Business Partnership, with support from the Government of Canada.

A Three-Part Learning Series

  1. Workshop 1: Introduction to AI for Business Efficiency
    Participants learn the fundamentals of generative AI and prompting, then apply them to practical business tasks like research, planning, and communications.

  2. Workshop 2: AI for Content Creation
    Participants use AI to brainstorm, create, and refine marketing content while keeping their business, audience, and voice at the centre of the process.

  3. Workshop 3: Web Building with AI
    The series concludes with an immersive, in-person workshop where participants bring their new AI skills together to plan, write, and build a web presence for their business.

Designed for Real-World Application

The ASEAN-APEC Forum: MSME Training Series on AI is designed around a simple principle: the best way to learn AI is to use it on work that actually matters to you.

Throughout the series, participants apply what they're learning to their own businesses. Exercises build on one another, so research and business context developed in one workshop can be reused in the next.

The learning experience includes:

  • Hands-on instruction
    Participants work alongside the instructors rather than simply watching demonstrations.

  • Real business applications
    Activities are built around tasks entrepreneurs already need to accomplish, from competitive research to marketing and web content.

  • Reusable AI skills
    Participants learn approaches and techniques they can apply to many different tools and business situations, rather than memorizing a single set of prompts.

  • Responsible AI use
    Accuracy, privacy, critical thinking, and human review are incorporated throughout the training.

AI Training for MSMEs Across Southeast Asia

Micro, small, and medium enterprises play a critical role in economies throughout Southeast Asia, but keeping up with rapidly changing AI tools can be difficult, especially without dedicated technology teams or time to experiment.

This program helps participating entrepreneurs build the practical skills to explore AI for themselves and make informed decisions about where it can genuinely help their businesses.

Camp Tech's approach is intentionally beginner-friendly, practical, and focused on building confidence through use. Participants don't need to become AI experts. They need to know enough to put the technology to work.
